In May 2009, the GABL Board of Directors approved
changing the name of the 501-(c)3 corporation Great American Basketball

The primary reasons for the restructuring were as

opportunities for a broader outreach of our programs.

the overall policy and direction of the Foundation. The Board currently
has 11 members, including a president and secretary-treasurer

2010 Participant Comments
"Enjoyed the golf tournament thoroughly. The course and Foundation staffs
were very hospitable and exemplified the level of commitment it takes to
manage such an event. Everything from the player gifts to the auction and
food was top notch. We were able to make some great business connections
as well. Great job GABL Youth Sports Foundation!!"
Aaron Koelzer, Kansas City Sports Commission and Foundation
"I enjoy this tournament
each time I play in it. I trust the GABL Youth Sports Foundation to put on
a first-class event and know that the proceeds will be used to fund
excellent programs."
Larry House, Greater Kansas City Basketball Coaches Association
“The GABL Golf Classic is truly an outstanding event. It offers our
company the opportunity to give back to our community and entertain
clients and employees while competing in an incredibly well organized
event. In addition, when you factor in the prizes, food and beverages,
and participant gifts the GABL Golf Classic is easily the best value in
the city compared to similar golf events. This is our third year
participating and we will undoubtedly be back for a fourth next year.”
